So in summary, the Benoini uses the mediative contemplation of God’s exaltedness to arouse both a love and awe of God – the time for this arousal is during prayer – however as he is just an average guy, therefore when he ceases his longing, arousing an excitement in the Divine rapture he returns to the normal state of having sexual fantasies and ego driven reactions such as anger etc.

 

However the core difference between the Benoini and the wicked person is, the Benoini will not allow the animal in him to overcome his Divine soul – whereas most of us will gravitate towards contemplation, speech and acting on our instinctual desires, fantasies, anger etc.; the Benoini will discipline himself and upon realizing that a thought speech or action is inappropriate will imeaditly, through exercising self-discipline do the right thing.
