So you want to be, in zone one (receiving Divine energy that leads to happiness)

Here’s how

There are only two things we do (or the summary of all things are in two:)

The first is the physical needs.

The second is our spiritual wants.

Now lets say you are eating an apple, if your intent is spiritual, namely that the Divine life source in the apple should energize you, which is what occurs when we say blessing over an apple, namely the spark (BTW the very final point that all food can be reduced to in FDA labs is a spark of light) then you successfully merge the Divine into you which is also visible, check out this video to see the effect of prayer on the physical structure of water http://youtu.be/tAvzsjcBtx8

So if your intent and words and actions are kosher everything you do in the physical elevates both you and the physical, through a merging of divinity within both!

The Rebbe very often spoke about the process of elevating the physical through the mechanism of “be cognizant of God in everything you do” so before you eat, meditate that the intent is to give you energy to do good, before you sleep, meditate that the reason for this is to give you energy to do good
