so with the upcoming election on everyone’s mind, and as Alan Dershowitz recently wrote a book, “Electile Dysfunction” it is a time to ask the most important question – “what is the correct political system?” – we know there were a group of Jews who were discussing this very question and the previous Rebbe was on their train – so they took advantage of the opportunity and asked him – his reply is awesome – the good in each system is closest to Judaism- but let us analyze this further, what exactly would be a good political system? – the answer is actually exactly as God says in the Bible, with a caveat, which is why the world has progressed in the path God intended it – you see, the Biblical system is a theocracy – it is one in which there is a Moses, Torah leader who based on Divine Biblical wisdom creates a harmonious society – now this balances the individuals rights with the community’s (which of course is the whole goal of all governments, but as we see, we always veer always too much in the liberal anarchy or radical totalitarianism – now the caveat is, God knows that theocracy which is felt as oppressive will not be welcomed, so he has allowed us to see how dumb all human-made systems are)
