So if (as we just wrote) that God’s love for us is so warm that those who actually have near-death experiences in a moment are often willing to embrace this (at the expense of everything they have come to know and live with/for) why don’t we feel it? – for the child’s ultimate is never being a child – the ultimate gift of God is becoming a giver = creator
