Shame vs pride based societies – from a perspective of a normal, say American society – it makes no sense what the Arabs are doing – Yes 9/11 was Arab – the attacks in Paris were Arabs – in fact the Muslim antisemitism all through Europe is mainly Arabs – and obviously the heinous deplorable desire and numerous attacks against Jews (in Israel and elsewhere) are Arabs – this is because as opposed to our feeling decent about ourselves, they have, feeling terrible about themselves- there really are no words to explain this for someone who always felt decent about himself is like telling him to imagine how a dolphin sees using sonogram ! – whereas the closest example: think about your greatest pain, now X that by 1000, now imagine you feel that not in the form of physical but emotional shame – this is how the Arabs feel about themselves! which is why Lawrence of Arabia said (and he obviously knew them well) "The Arabs are xenophobic"- they hate all foreigners, for when they see anyone else it reminds them how miserable they are! – I personally experienced this when I was across from a former PLO terrorist and my very happiness reminded him how much he hated Jews (he said to himself "I could take an AK (and some other machine gun – I forgot ) and kil him but this was God’s desire")
