Shades of grey

When I was the Rabbi in a resort town, we once had an expert psychiatrist who has studied stress for over 20 years, give us a lecture in the synagogue
One of the very pertinent things he said, is the following.
Most people see things in black and white, you’re stressed or you’re not, but there are many shades of grey – instead of seeing stress as, in or out, free or imprisoned; see it as the revs in your car, there is zero stress, some stress (in fact, stress about things you can change, is good) there is revving too high and then there is burnout!
