Scholars say that our society is based on on Jewish and Greek cultures – yet Jewish and Greek cultures are diametrically opposed – you see we Jews and the Greeks had a serious run in – when Alexander the Great, a disciple of Aristotle caused the Greeks to become a super-power, Israel fell under Greek cultural influence – and as we see today, we Jews are great at being obstinate to the point of death if our faith is challenged, but not when intellectual ideas seem enticing – The reason for this is the fundamental error of the magnanimity of the brain – You see, in all things there are subtle differences yet absolutely contrary in nature – for example, if I say hello to you, it may be that I genuinely am glad to see you or it may be that I am feeling awkward, out of place, so my hello is in order to justify my existence – the ramifications are simple, if it is based on love I will always say hello, if it is based on feeling awkward, when I feel comfortable, say in my domain, I won’t give you the time of day – Similarly, if the reason we use our minds is to discover the Divine intent hence to do what is good and noble, then our mind is a great thing, but if the reason we use or minds, as Aristotle writes that “the greatest pleasure that exists (certainly for a good mind) is intellectualism” – then as Aristotle himself, was an immoral debased human! – Funnily enough it is this debate that has continued to his very day – for there is no doubt about it, that the amongst the Jewish people, their greatest minds didn’t go to the sciences rather to discerning the will and wisdom of God – yet there was another “scientific” trend, perhaps led by gentiles but very much involving many Jews who for wherever reason left Judaism and all in all this scientific trend equally gave rise to wonderful technologies but are being used not only to the betterment but also to the determent of humanity
