Right Wrong

By zevi770 · December 9, 2012

I realized that (no one take offence, WE ALL!) we all, are at a extreme disadvantage in life!

Let me begin with an insightful, though perhaps shocking Talmudic story.

A great sage was intimate with his wife when he heard something moving under the bed – checking to see, he saw one of his pious disciples – what are you doing?! – I am here to study Torah!

In point of fact, this is a true story, for this disciple realized that to know what is right and what is wrong, he would need to follow the advice of his Rebbe, in everything!

In life we are usually monkeys.

There is something called frameworks:

Frameworks in “Emotional Intelligence” by Daniel Goleman is a term describing how we pick up systems;

Two people are dating and are very sweet to each other and WHAMO, marriage ends that! – why!?

Frameworks!

For in a similar example, imagine for a moment you are the teacher of a classroom – how do you behave? – well, frameworks! – as your teachers did!!

We have many terms, many nouns; and what we actually do is simply copy, so when I become a husband, I act as my father did, who acted as his; and if I become a wife, I act as my mother did, as she does to hers!

In order for madness to end, we need to understand, NOT HOW TO COPY PEOPLE but what is the RIGHT VS. WRONG – which is what the Torah teaches us – IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE!

  Right Wrong
Husband Speak gently; compromise willingly; support lavishly Shouting; not paying attention; not supporting
Wife Speak gently; compromise willingly; be unconditionally supportive! Shouting; not paying attention; not being supportive
Marital Intimacy (mainly husband to wife) http://kabbalahwisdom.org/booklets/kabbalah-on-marital-intimacy/

Everything besides what is right!
Father Speak gently; make your children happy! teach them the highest Torah ethics! (better to teach more and have them absorb less than to teach less and have them absorb certainly less.) Don’t shout! not paying attention; not giving them the highest Torah ethics
Mother Though I am no expert but at the very least; speak gently, structure them! teach them the highest Torah ethics (better to teach more and have them absorb less than to teach less and have them absorb certainly less!) Don’t shout, not paying attention, not giving them boundaries, not teaching them the highest Torah ethics!
Business Honesty Dishonesty
Friendship Friendships are underestimated both in their cathartic necessity as well as epic (Judaicly) importance! For unity is the purpose of mankind!!! Never ignore a friend when in need!!!
