We find in the Talmud, the source of all Jewish laws, that there is no precedent greater than the actions of the great sages who taught the laws; in other words, in our generation, the prototype for a Jew’s behavior (the reason God creates as well) is the Rebbe – the point of this point is, that if we look at the Rebbe’s interaction with people, I believe we learn how God wants us to interact with people! – when you see someone else, many emotions can manifest, obviously a friend is rejoicing over the rekindling of the flame in your heart; but what about a stranger? someone you don’t know – do you walk on coldly by? – does he matter to you? – should he matter to you? – should you greet him? – can you greet everyone? – the answer is, respect!
