Reb Menachem Mendel of Kotzk taught: When I was young I planned on changing the world but then I saw the world seeks not to change; so I decided to change my country, but then I saw that my country seeks not to change; but then I decided to change my community but then I realized my community seeks not change; so I decided to change my family, but unfortunately to my dismay I realized my family seeks not to change; and then the truth occurred to me: that if I change myself, my family will change, then my community will change, then my country will change and then the world will change!
