Reality is no different to a dream

How can you say that?!
You see, in other words, what is a dream? – in a dream your avatar experiences, thinks – you make decisions – you are like in a movie, the only thing is, when you wake, you realize, that you didn’t choose to make those decisions.
But what if reality is no different?
What if, indeed!
In fact, according to Jewish mysticism, though we have freedom of choice, it’s not as clear cut as you might think.
You see, in a dream, do you freely choose?
Yes and no!
For in fact, even in a dream, you are reacting to stimuli.
Your basic personality doesn’t change, how you speak, feel, want, it’s only that when you wake up, you realize, “that wasn’t me who made those choices!”
But the person who makes your choices on a day to day basis, is that you?!
When you get angry, is that you?!
How about when you fall in love, is that you?!
In other words, as the Rebbe teaches, God creates stimuli; so the only real you, is the person who changes!
