Parshas Bihaloischa
The Menorah symbolizes the Jewish peoples primary obligation to serve God.
The service of a Jew is to allow the Divine light – within Torah and Mitzvos – to light up and cause to glow our Divine soul (like turning on the pilot light) this causes not only that your life should be bright but you brighten up the world.
Furthermore each soul has a unique color and by lighting up everyone’s soul, the world becomes a dazzling array of multi-colors.
We learn from Aharon how to light up another person’s soul – Firstly as we know, Aharon was a man of loving-peace, hence to begin, our approach is that we value unconditionally every person for if nothing else they are God’s creation – however just as one who lights a candle, the whole goal is for the candle to be lit (not needing the continued input of the lighter) similarly, when we include someone, we must hold our flame to them until they are so light, that they can both light up other people and continually add to their own.
When Hashem commanded us to make the Mishkan, first he told us to make the environment where he would be and then the cloud would rise and lead the Jewish people, simalerly first a Jew must light up his own soul and only then when he travels on his soul’s journey will he ensure it is the Divine Shechina light.
Wherever we travel in the journey of our soul – as we know, the Baal Shem Tov says: “All traverse 42 soul stops” God-himself goes along, and as we make it our mission to share his light, he takes care.
When we journey, we obviously need to prepare, however we need to be aware that our preparations are no more than the window through which God’s plan manifests.
Why does Rebbe say “What is the correct path?” is not Torah and Mitzvos well known? The answer is, that Pirkei Avos is additions, and these additions are the understanding how God and man simultaneously journey (for example hashgachah pratis).

Bihaloischa, lighting the Menorah follows the giving of the Torah, for this relates to our primary mission to use the light of the Divine soul to gear our body and reality, allowing light/love, as opposed to anger/evil – furthermore this mission is totally in our hands.
God is obviously our Divine soul, yet God grants man, as it states, that the soul of man doesn’t compel behavior (as we see empirically in dieting / addictions, so knowledge creates not action).
God lights, using Divine light, our soul; yet the goal is subsequent to inspiration we must toil with effort, to continually keep the flame burning and increasing.
The goal in assisting a fellow is not in getting him or her to do a mitzvah rather the mitzvah is a spark to light thier flame so they can perpetuate this.
What is normal is always abnormal – we must go beyond!
Our mission is to transform all darkness.
We should add in Torah classes.
…
Our mission of course is to add light – but light comes from God – however the goal is not for light to obliterate darkness, rather for darkness to realize it’s dark, and then to seek light and then to realize that the only true reality is light which is own true.
Though we may be living in darkness, we must know it is the darkness not the light which is the lie.
One may ask how can we the lowest of generations bring Moshiach? The answer is, like a child standing on the shoulders of a giant, his vision extends farther, hence after all the incredible gifts of the previous generations and Rebbes, enable us simple, humble and “lowly” people to conclude the race.
