People change when the benefit of the shift seems more appealing than the current reality – which is why drug addicts have to hit rock bottom; and spiritually as the Rebbe’s last Mammer clearly describes it, we needed to lose the physical Divine consciousness flowing through the Rebbe to appreciate how dark the world is without it, hence in our yearning for it, we shall both merit and appreciate it!
