Our world exists in a remarkable state – I wouldn’t call it balance, it’s more like a seesaw, to the extent we are egotistical is the extent we are not humble, to the extent that we are not humble is the extent that we are prone to anger, violence, maliciousness – we see this empirically, how in tough environments like New York and Israel after (God-forbid) bombs fall, the same people who simply are too busy trying to make themselves great, suddenly are truly concerned – it’s not to say that the person on drugs (again, to the extent you are addicted is the extent you ignore your other desires) isn’t kind, it’s he’s just preoccupied! – the goal of life is to choose the true singular honorable occupation
