our sages teach, in the beginning God came to his garden, Adam and Eve were placed in a garden, their task was to make it beautiful and protect it – what’s all this talk about a garden? – you see, when God tries to tell us what our world is, he uses the analogy of a garden – a garden is a place where many varieties of trees or plants, flowers etc. grow – The one thing in common with all vegetation is their nature of growth – they are always growing – We must understand this, for it is the secret to understanding our universe – Many have been the people – in fact, the vast majority of idealistic philosophers, religious leaders, political leaders etc. that come up with an idea which they believe is good – They then seek to universally apply its idea – be it Christianity, Islam, communism, even democracy and there are countless philosophical ideas and new ones sprouting all the time – each and every one of them fails (though in truth democracy is in reality only a form of governance, to give the freedom FOR the garden, but it has been misconstrued as an ideal) So each of them fails by a fundamental misunderstanding of the reality that exists – for when a human looks at the world and he sees something wrong and an ideal to fix it, his solution is simple – “if everyone followed this ideal, everything would be fixed” – however, there is another reality, of infinite – hence finite too – dimension – In this reality, there is infinite space – our garden needs not be a place where there is but one flower or one tree! – each of us, is our own variety – our only challenge is, to individually hence collectively grow
