Our rulers!

By zevi770 · May 7, 2013

I know you heard it from me before, but as it states, many different ages Abraham discovered God, (something app.) 3, 40, others; so our sages teach, he discovered deeper understandings; hence, as thank G-d we gain better appreciation, for things we know intellectually – called Daas, when an idea permeates, the mind of the heart, not only the thoughts of the mind – I am sharing this with you

We are all composites

The Zohar teaches, three rulers can dominate man, but ultimately, if we look carefully at the words of the Zohar, it’s not that three rulers can dominate man, but three rulers dominate man!

In other words, these rulers simultaneously influence us

Let’s go from ideal to problematic

Ideally we are thinking creatures – ideally it is our minds that dominate our behavior – yes we think, but we all know that…

Often it is our instincts, our desire for pleasure and not pain/or shame that controls us, this is why people eat chocolates when they know they should be on diet

But worst of all is our ego

Now Chassidus teaches, that our ego, our perception of self is false

In truth, we are Divine light in a container, but as we don’t see the light and only see the container, we like, like emperors, to build statues of our bodies, but all those statues mean nothing, for only ideas that were true, the light, is everlasting!
