our problem in America – and certainly even more so worldwide is we don’t know what are the rules of engagement – I am not talking about war, I am talking about peace – you see society exists quite simply in one of two mechanisms – the first is security, the second is insecurity (fear of abuse) now when people have security the human instincts to and for love dominates hence we tend to take a rosy picture (as the instinct seeks its fulfillment and the mind fulfills the instinct’s desire) however on the flipside when people are afraid of people we tend to take a negative view – people become narcissistic they become suspicious, they only engage in one another out of need (this is seen clearly in the Arab society where their savagery to one another shows on their deep inner hate – hence any type of cooperation is not based on love rather need) the problem with both these approaches is they are instinctual – one positive the other negative but positive turns to negative – man must be able to keep his head above water and not only swim with the tide but turn the tide
