Our needs and our desires: We need truly only three things 1. (in Maslow’s hierarchy style) our physical, namely money for food and clothing and for a shelter, but coupled with this most of all we need God’s protection, for if God forbid we live in an insecure environment whether through natural or human disasters our equilibrium gets disturbed and our entire mind becomes focused on survival 2 We need people – haadam hu midini a person is a social animal 3. We need meaning, as Victor Franek so aptly wrote that mans primary (and as Maslow agrees) need is for a meaning in ones life Everything else is a waste of time.
