Our multiple selves

By zevi770 · April 14, 2016

Our different selves:

We have many different selves.

We have our compassionate self. This is the person we were born as.

However, in order for us to grow we must experience suffering.

Because there are many other selves that we can become.

When fear we become a fear self. Fear creates acquiescence. In a state of acquiescence we acquiesce instead of fulfilling  our own desires.

The worst self that we can become is the angry self. This is when we become bitter. We feel that people have been cruel and the world is a cruel place.

This creates an angry self. In this state is all the bullies anti-Semites anti-American radicals because they feel that life is not fair so they might as well do whatever they want.

In addition, when we are angry this feels like sitting on a hot stove and it feels terrible, so we become jealous of people who are feeling good; so the first thing in order to grow is to realize that nobody has it perfect.

We must realize that it is in our own capacity to see how this world is a good place and everything that we have is a blessing which we do not deserve.

Once we do this we can come into contact with God.
