Open vs. Closed Societies

Two societies exist, open and closed ones; for example, Eckhart Tolle describes societies run by love and those run by fear – this is not to offend anyone, but it is astronomically vital to be abe to discern between the two, for one is good the other evil – Chassidim – he says – from the Baal Shem Tov is an open, run by love society; in contrast, misnagdim, run a closed fear based society. The difference? Quite simply, if people are mentally healthy, for in an open loving society, people are nurtured, they are meant to feel valued, and they develop; while in closed, fear based societies, people’s egos are trampled on, molds create similar looking, acting, robots; lacking truth, compassion, warm-heartedness.
On a more macro level, America is an open society, believing in democracy, hence, it raises the ire jealousy say of totalitarian, closed societies – it’s funny how the biggest abusers of human rights, say Iran, are busy finding all that is evil, with the biggest supporters of human rights; similarly, Arabs against Israel; for nothing causes worse hatred/jealousy then the child (the child within) looking out of his window, where he is forced to sit in a rigid regiment, by a tyrannical father and sees another kid playing ball gaily as if NOTHING IS WRONG!
