In other words, according to Kabbalah there are two basic realities.
Everything exists only through God’s infinite light being concealed into the reality we see – e=m, energy is matter but we see not energy but matter.
However God himself has two basic ways of creating matter.
The first is when we do not let the light in.
Hence the energy travels from God to Kelipos / demons who are empowered to give us life, but like in the matrix, their motive is selfish, for only through our contributing to matters that do not serve a meaningful cause, or Torah or Mitzvos, do they receive the energy to thrive.
On the other hand, God himself is he who sustains us when even the effort put in from our side is as minimal as the eye of a needle relative to the widest expanse of the universe, but the very fact that we create an opening, hence the infinity of God himself comes through!
