One of the towering figures of Talmudic scholarship was a Lubavitcher Chossid by the name of the Rogatchovir Goan

Reportedly he said “I prefer to be with a wicked man who knows he is a wicked man, than with a holy man who knows he is a holy man!”
In fact, one of the great pitfalls of loving God and truly doing the right thing, is, it creates a certain expansiveness.
Now expansiveness, like all forces has both a positive and negative.
The positive is love, the negative is feeling yourself.
When a person is humble – they don’t feel their importance – they then don’t become angry because “who am I to get angry?”
However, when a person feels their significance, they are far easier angered (this is seen very clearly in Africa, whereas the common black man is actually a sweet humble person, the moment they get into government – perhaps Nelson Mandela was an exception – they become tyrants, and tyranny comes from delusions of grandeur, which get angered when they are not fulfilled.)
