One of the reasons we are so easily fooled is the use of lies – for example hitler, arafat used the technique of telling not small, but massive lies – in hitler’s case the ridiculous notion that Germans are a superior race which was a scientific fact (hence their right or obligation to eliminate the inferior races) in Arafat’s case, the even more ridiculous notion that there is a notion called Palestinians – they are Arabs who come from Arabia who mainly came to Israel to work on Israeli farms (the proof being, the Arabs fought two war of desiring annihilation 1948 and ’67 before they ever referred to themselves as Palestinians!) an entire fictitious identity but repeated enough, even Israel has given them a “state” – but the way to overcome this limitation of being fooled is simple – ask not if what a person is saying sounds true (for liars are very good at that) rather, ask only, are they kind
