Why is this so important?
The reason is that we think that our brain tells us what is in our best interest.
Rather, our brain tells us only what we want to hear.
As Daniel Goleman in his book emotional intelligence reports that the brain is a movie director placing the scenes etc. to corroborate a story we write about reality, in order to give us the leeway to do what we want.
If anything, our brains can only do what we want them to do.
The brain is no different from a computer.
In other words, the computer has no will of its own – it does only what the person using it wants.
The internet as well, has no will of its own, it is entirely pages clicked by hearts desires, to see, learn, research, certain information etc.
In other words, the brain can only be a source of truth if we are searching for it.
