In other words, we often think that there is a dichotomy say between lust and goodness, sinfully decadent and seriously holy!
The truth is, this is to think that the pleasures God made were somehow created by his evil twin brother commonly called the satan.
In Judaism, satan is an angel that God himself creates for a Godly purpose.
So why would you create someone to oppose you?!?
But that’s the point!!!
If you didn’t have free choice, as our sages state, that the negative of life is a direct inverted mirror of the positive, then you couldn’t freely choose.
In the Shemah we say three times daily, do not follow the attractions of your heart and your eyes.
God knows that there are negative distractions out there that are instinctually pleasing.
He created them!!!
But just because I create a challenge doesn’t mean I want you to fail it!
