One of the great tragedies of western civilization is its absolute idiocy in the realm of emotions – I recall once, upon travels with a dear friend in Spain, and we needed to ask someone for directions – they were young lovers or boyfriend and girlfriend and the guy was crying – though he looked up and offered directions – my friend being much more worldly than I, explained, that in Spain, people are very ready with their emotions – a guy sees it not as a weakness to cry.
