In other words, by nature, we assume that if God is great, materialism must be shunned
The reason we think this way, is, we assume, mutually exclusive realities
But in truth, as the Torah teaches us, all that God made, he made for his purposes
The question in life, is never what is to be shunned, the question is only, how can this “money,” “technology” etc. be harnessed for the purpose of Charity, Torah and Mitzvos?!
Now imagine the difference in the ramifications of mutually exclusive, versus mutually inclusive, realities!
