Once there was a cup

By zevi770 · February 5, 2014

When it was created, its master, creator, hence father and mother oohed and ahhed over it.

The cup felt very special.

But then there were other people, whose jealousy of its happiness, decided to do a cruel thing.

Whenever it carried some wine for its master, they intentionally spilled it.

As the cup started to feel sad, they furthered their torment, by mocking the poor thing “Why you can’t even carry anything!!”

But not to be disheartened, the cup went right back to work; but as if its desire to live, created a fury of vengeance, the other bullies focused all of their non-existent life, on destroying this poor cup.

We all know there are only so many times you can be broken; and then sad to say, its self-esteem was shattered.

Too depressed to do anything, it lay alone.

Then feelings of anger rose from a source unbeknown to it.

“That was an evil, cruel thing that happened to me!!!”

Desires for vengeance overcame it!

And all it could think about, was how to destroy the other cups.

But in the meanwhile, it began to see how ugly those shiny happy wine filled cups were.

All the faults that a cup can see in a cup; and it began to tell them how despicable and loathsome they were.

And then one day, the master arrived and said “I see you are sad, tell me what happened?”

And the cup poured its tale of bitterness, heartbreak and sorrow to its master.

“Cry no more, my sweet creation” said God to his child, “for no matter whom have been jealous of you, to me, you are the finest rose among thorns!”
