Once the people of a city requested of the Baal Shem Tov that he induce his disciple Reb Michly to be their Rabbi – the latter being humble, felt unworthy – so the Baal Shem Tov placed a lot of “pressure” and he didn’t wish to do it – finally the Baal Shem Tov shouted at him… “If you don’t listen, you will lose both this and the next world” said he – “I don’t care, for I cannot take a position – that I am not worthy for” – then the Baal Shem Tov said, “You are blessed! Everything I did was to test your heart… so in the end it would be good for you.”
