Obviously love is our destination, but love has a severe drawback, as it states in Chassidus, for when “I love” it expands my ego; hence, there is but one way to do goodness and kindness, not as an extension of my heart, rather as an extension of God’s heart/obligation; for when we feel obligated to do something, it removes the egotistical dimension
