*New Book Brings Baal Shem Tov’s Wisdom to English Readers*

September 11, 2025

For over three centuries, the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov—the founder of the Chassidic movement—have illuminated Jewish life with faith, joy, and a deeper connection to Hashem. Now, for the very first time, English readers can access a comprehensive collection of his timeless guidance in a groundbreaking new volume.

A Treasury of 1,026 Transformative Tips

Titled Life Advice of the Baal Shem Tov – 1,026 Transformative Tips, this sefer gathers concise yet profound lessons, organized and translated into clear, practical advice for everyday Avodas Hashem. Readers will find inspiration on strengthening emunah and bitachon, bringing simchah into daily life, deepening Torah and tefillah, cultivating ahavas Yisroel, and awakening the soul’s mission in preparing for Moshiach.

Each tip shines with the Baal Shem Tov’s light, offering both daily encouragement and long-term spiritual clarity. The book can be read cover to cover, or opened at random for a moment of inspiration.

A Special Chai Elul Opportunity

The sefer was originally planned for release by Chai Elul, but due to technical delays its full publication will, G-d willing, be ready before Rosh Hashanah.

In the meantime, as a special opportunity for Chai Elul, readers can already access the manuscript edition online. This early release allows the Baal Shem Tov’s teachings to be studied on the very day of his birth, as well as that of the Alter Rebbe. The manuscript is available at: kabbalahwisdom.org/the-practical-wisdom-of-the-baal-shem-tov.

Continuing a Legacy of Translation

The author, Rabbi Zevi Wineberg, is no stranger to bringing Chassidic classics into English. This new work is a natural continuation of his earlier projects: Kesser Shem Tov: 850 Sayings of the Baal Shem Tov, Tzava’as HaRivash, and Baal Shem Tov on the Torah. Together, these volumes have introduced thousands to the core ideas of Chassidus.

The idea for this latest project was encouraged by his mashpia, Reb Moshe Rueven, who suggested gathering the Baal Shem Tov’s practical life advice into one accessible collection.

“In my own search for truth, I’ve found the Baal Shem Tov’s concise insights to be profoundly transformative,” Rabbi Wineberg explained. “It’s my hope this sefer will serve as a lifelong companion for those seeking greater emunah, simchah, and clarity.”

Publishing with Beauty and Care

The sefer will be released by Rabbi Wineberg’s publishing house, Meaningful Books. It will be available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle formats through both the publisher’s website and Amazon.

The layout and design are being produced in collaboration with Reb Chaim Rittrie of BooksNBagels—known for their elegant design of the SIE Hayom Yom. BooksNBagels will also serve as the European distributor.

A Family Tradition of Making Chassidus Accessible

Rabbi Wineberg continues a family tradition of disseminating Chassidic teachings. His grandfather, the renowned Rabbi Yosef Wineberg, authored Shiurim B’Sefer HaTanya, which has been translated into five languages and introduced hundreds of thousands to Tanya. His father, Rabbi Wineberg, is known for his many translations of classic seforim.

It is this family legacy that inspires Rabbi Zevi Wineberg to bring the Baal Shem Tov’s teachings to the wider English-speaking world.
