BEGIN WITH ACTIONS
Just as if you wish to pick up a package you must do so from the bottom, for the bottom will lift the top – so to, in order to refine oneself, one must begin with good behavior and actions (in fact, as we see with a scale – by lifting up your actions, you raise your soul (the other side – higher.)
Vayigash 5725
HUMILITY BEGETS GOD
The humbler you are – the more Divine grace.
TORAH = GOD = INFINITE
As God is infinite, hence the Torah one learns when young and old – though to the human perspective, one understands – but relative to infinity both are equal.
TRUE PRAYER
When we pray our prayer should be that Hashem should (as the verse, “Open my lips in and my lips be yours.”)
Vdavid Avdi 5732
JEWISH UNITY
All Jews are intrinsically one.
JEWISH UNITY
Just as the head and foot are interdependent – and in the aspects that the foot can do (such as walking) it is the head of the head – similarly, every Jew has an intrinsic quality – for example, some are great at kindness, others at Torah – and in this respect it is a teacher.
TRUTH
Truth is only through Torah and especially Chassidus.
Yehudah 5738
YOU
Our soul is always one hundred percent Divine – all we need is to fan its pilot light.
JEWISH PROTECTION
When Jews study Torah and Mitzvos, then the fear of harming them – and in fact good gentiles assisting them – increases.
Habayim yashreish 5748
THINK POSITIVE
When a Jew and particularly a Rebbe has a positive thought – as the Tzemach Tzeddek said – “think positive” than so it becomes.’
THINKING/ACTION
The Rebbes would often connect a positive thought with not only a positive word, but also action (as we know, that when God told prophets something, he would tell them, do an action – as when we connect the spirit to matter, it births.)
Va-aira 5735
CHASSIDUS – CORE
Chassidus reveals the core truth/s.
BEYOND WITHIN – THREE STEPS
In the beginning God concealed himself (all that was visible was nature.)
Then God came to Abraham and revealed that nature itself was (the concealment, hence the revelation of) God.
However at the giving of the Torah, a new level, namely, that God is not only capable of miracles (for miracles and nature are two sides of the same Creator) but far loftier; is capable that the very nature itself should be Godly (in other words – and this is the primary messianic state, that we have both the individual and revelation – for the true hallmark of infinity is not in being beyond, but simultaneously both.)
Lehavin Inyan 5730
EXISTENCE
As we are sourced truly in God – a God that has no preceding cause (his existence is solely from his existence) it is for this reason (that though we obviously come only from God) but our perception of our existence is the same (in other words, though intellectually we may be aware that our existence comes from God, emotionally we don’t perceive this.) In essence as a human has this perception, they are far more Divine than the greatest angels (as their perception is based on revelation – so their humility and love for God is seeing God’s greatness – but ironically not seeing God – just taking existence for granted, is most God-like.)
EXISTENCE
Though our physical world exists but its existence is God (science has given us the most wonderful analogy, for though you see matter, it really is energy.)
TRUE GOD
Ironically it is primarily in this world where God is so concealed that we realize how distant we are, that therefore our understanding of God is most accurate (in the higher worlds where Godliness shines, so their perception of closeness is actually an illusion.)
AS BELOW SO ABOVE
Through man below acting in accordance to the Divine will, we create the Divine (in other words, this is like a child whose behavior causes the parent’s joy.)
Basi Ligani 5711
SHECHINA
The Shechina is the revelation of God.
SHECHINA
When God made the world his revelation – Shechina, was below – through sins this causes the Shechina to leave this dimension and through the Seven Shepherds (both the regular, Avrohom- Moses, and Chassidic, From The Baal Shem Tov to the Rebbe – it caused it to permanently descend.)
AHAVAS YISROEL – LOVE
There are stories of the tremendous Ahavas Yisroel ( self-sacrifice for a fellow) of the Rebbes.
During Yom Kippur the Alter Rebbe once went out of synagogue and chopped wood to feed a sick lady.
The Mitteleh Rebbe actually got sick (in fact he also passed on) for the deep suffering another’s anguished caused (him.)
The Tzemach Tzeddek once before he prayed, loaned money.
The Rebbe Maharash traveled to another city, just to inspire a Jew.
The Rebbe Rashab insisted going himself to annual a decree (against the Jews, though there were seemingly more capable offers.)
The Previous Rebbe essentially devoted his lifetime (as did the Rebbe.)
THE BOTTOM LINE
The bottom line is, our task is to: a. as we are passionate about stupidity, we should transform that passion for what is good, b. through this we bring that God-himself fulfils his desire, namely, that through our efforts, the Moshiach (the Shechina) comes.
