Explanation (from the Rebbe) on Padah 5726

TORAH (WHEN)

The main time to study Torah is after Davening (morning prayers.)

GOODNESS/KINDESS (WHEN)

The main time for doing good is after morning prayer followed by learning.

BEFORE PRAYER

The above (that the main time for goodness and kindness is after prayer and study) is notwithstanding that before prayer – as a preparation to it – we give charity. Similarly though before prayer we study, but this is not the main study.

DRAWING GOD

Generally man’s Divine service (Avodah) splits into drawing close to God and drawing God close.

DRAWING GOD

Torah and Good Deeds is drawing God close (bringing Divinity into humanity and oneself) and prayer is drawing close.

ULTIMATE INTENT

Now the ultimate purpose is drawing God close, however in order for one’s Torah and Good deeds to be proper, one first must pray (as this refines the vessel – much like in order for rain to be useful in an aquifer, the aquifer must be rinsed.)

Lehavin Inyan 5726

CHANUKAH

The reason we have eight candles on Chanukah is because its light comes from beyond our universe (which is connected to seven – seven days of week.)

GOD/SACRFICE

As the Jews had sacrifice (for God during Chanukah) hence they reached into God’s essence and when the essence of God descends, it permeates (everything.)

EVERYTHING IS GOD

Through understanding that everything is God, everything is redeemed. (for there is no other reality – all “realities” are as science teaches merely visuals – everything’s essence is simply the same energy – itself popping in and out of existence,- so there must be a force which is the source.)

Padah Bishaloim 5738

ALTRUISTIC

EVIL SEEKS LIGHT

Even darkness (evil) seeks light (to be loved and loving (it’s just that fear causes a repression of self – which then causes resentment which causes jealousy – but the essence of everyone and everything is actually unconditional love. -as we see in children.)

HOW TO STUDY

When we study Torah – we must do so as if “our life depends on it” and then though it may be temporary – its effect is everlasting.

CHASSIDUS

When one studies Chassidus – which will be a full-time occupation (during Moshiach) as we touch our soul, we reveal our internal God.

Shaloim rav 5738

MEANING

The purpose of man – to add Divine light

DIVINE LIGHT

The light that we draw into the world through fulfilling God’s will surpasses infinitely (nature.)

DIVINE JOY

It states “who is the face of the Master God – this is the face of Rabbi Shimoin Bar Yochai” and “God in his chambers, is R”Y B”R while he is in the study hall” –  in other words, when a person’s humility is such that their sole identity is God, then they are able to feel the Divine joy (of Dirah Bitachtoinim.)

Tonu Rabanan 5738

MITZVOS/LOGIC

All Mitzvos – even those which contain logic – are infinitely beyond.

MIND

Our mind is simply our observation – which as science has proven is absolutely infinitely incapable (and as the wisest of all men, King Solomon, after a lifetime of research concludes “in the end of the day, the only purpose to earth is: Fear God and Fulfill

MESIRUS NEFESH – DEFINITION

Mesirus nefesh means there is no other option

MESIRUS NEFESH

We see that through the mesirus nefesh of Mattisyahu and his sons, not only did they win, but they inspired their generation (and all) for in mesirus nefesh we are assured.

Mitzvasah shel Ner Chanukah 5738

REDEEMING SPARKS

The entire goal of reality is, as the Baal Shem Tov gives the example of a king who wished to reward his son – so he hid all his treasures and requested everyone to find them – the Jewish people through millennia of fulfilling his will, have already redeemed these sparks.

Boruch 5743

WATER WINE OLIVE OIL

Water wine and olive oil – water is tasteless, wine has a taste, and oil comes to add, as well as shine – water refers to the general Torah and Mitzvos (similar to water which comes from on high but falls very low – Torah and Mitzvos deal with mundane matters) wine refers to Kabbalah (like the alcohol that revaels secrets) olive oil refers to Chassidus.

Ve-atah 5748

JEWISH SAFETY

Based on the teachings of the Rebbe Maharash there will be no more God-forbid holocausts – not only that (as amazingly) predicted, the gentiles will come not only to love but to assist (never before has there been such an outpouring of tremendous love.)
