Mourn me not, celebrate my death, for in you I am reborn

The Alter Rebbe teaches, the spiritual message of Yibbum
Yibbum is, if I may say so, a seemingly bizarre concept
If Rueven dies childless, his brother Shimoin should marry his wife, so they can give a name to the dead Rueven
Everything in the Torah, of course, teaches us something of epic magnitude and this of course is no different
In life, we are formed into an identity, we love who we are – our identity is formed by age of two, and by that time, we are quite proud of the fact that the whole world (which is our world) reacts to our needs and we quite simply, are in love with ourselves.
But often, as many have, felt the harsh sting of unwarranted criticism, that identity, that happiness within me, is shattered.
And a crushing, both sad and angry person emerges.
This person is not who I am, I know for sure.
So now the choice comes, shall I mourn the happy-go-lucky me, or is there a deeper reason for such a dark sinister catastrophe, as death?!
And of course, as God runs this show, death is but a prelude to a higher life!
For as long as I am that “in love with myself” person, like a person in love, I certainly cannot find a more beautiful better love.
But precisely because my love has departed, precisely because my heart is broken…
A new epic love affair can begin!
In the context of my identity, succinctly stated, precisely because I no longer love me, I can be open to understanding, that you God, are who I always was!
