Morality is not a science – you see our sages teach us, you may study science from a gentile but never morality / Torah – for morality is an art – the fact is, as we look over all societies and civilizations, they all, bar-none lacked in the morality department- even the religious societies often were cruel and unusual, and till this very day in the name of God, hundreds of millions of Muslims wish to annihilate pretty much everyone! – so what is the art? – like all art, it is about the transcendence- it is like a dance – for there are two sides to everything and everyone – there is the part of us which is all about me (getting my way because I want it) and then there is the altruistic Divine self – and only through both having the Torah, hence an objective non-radical guide (love, kosher, Shabbos etc.) as well as overcoming one’s ego – and this is the art, for every time you wish to do something good, the ego / the yetzer hara, will go to war – hence ultimately the art of Judaism- which as we know there are seven Noahide laws for all of mankind – is truly the art of self transcendence
