1. The two paths which Abraham chartered, which everyone of us must do, is drawing down Divinity from above, and doing acts of goodness and kindness below.
2. The Mitzvahs are called the path of God… for the doing the Mitzvos, reveals God in this world.
3. Through doing the Mitzvos and revealing God in the world, we fulfill God’s intention of creation.
4. The idea of God dwelling below, is like a person whose in the home of a friend, which just like when you’re in your own home, you are completely yourself – with your dearest closest friend, both you and he are yourselves, and together simultaneously.
5. Even when we elevate to God, the bottom line is that we still remain who we are.
6. We must be the home that God feels comfortable to come to.
7. When we learn Torah, as God is one with his Torah, God unites with us.
8. Through Mitzvahs we refine ourselves.
9. This is especially when we have to subdue our instincts in order to do the mitzvah.
10. The main path to God – through giving charity.
11. Correct way to give charity, is take only what you need, and then the rest give to charity.
12. Simalerly with all Mitzvahs, the correct path, is to do it with difficulty, in other words through overcoming ourselves for a higher purpose.
13. Specifically in this mechanism of overcoming self, do we open ourselves up for the revelation of God, which doesn’t only come, say to the mind, but permeates like oil into every fiber of our being.
14. When Moshiach comes we will understand that action is the main thing.
15. This is because action touches the core of God.
16. Because of Abraham’s obedience to God, the pleasure of God which contains all good, was revealed to him.
17. The fact that Abraham achieved this, gives every Jew subsequent, the ability.
18. There are two universes, the hidden and revealed, the hidden relates to thought Leah, and the revealed relates to speech, Rochel; the hidden refers to the Torah and the revealed refers to the Mitzvahs.
19. In the Messianic era even the Gentiles will praise the Lord.
