Love, fear, truth

Eurekah, ok you’ve heard it before, but wow, it’s true
There is a famous teaching from Reb Menachem Mendel of Kotzk, what is the difference between someone who loves truth and some who hates falsehood – the one who loves the truth, will find it; and the one who hates falsehood, will find it
In other words – and this is truly quite an all-encompassing earthshattering, extremely important concept – we are like a car – our emotions are the gas – unbeknown to us, the thoughts we have, are not rational, they are not objective, they are actually the subject of our emotions!
Hence, someone in love, sees only that which confirms their emotional desire.
Someone who has fear – and this is the true importance of this concept – thinks they are being rational, but what is really happening, they are driving in reverse.
They are not living life, they are running away from that which they fear!
