Love

More has been written about it than any other subject yet its still the most misunderstood reality.

The reason its is so misunderstood, it’s like trying to summarize the word food – you see food is not a single word, it is a comprehensive.

There are millions of different types of foods, and there are millions of different types of loves.

Though fundamentally speaking and certainly for the purpose of this blog there are two categories of love.

There is true and fake love.

A man was eating chicken and he said to his friend “I love chicken” – “so why did you kill, eat and stab it?”

You see, love which is about, what you can do for me, is far from love; we call it lust, a desire for pleasure deriving from a stimuli.

But love which is true, is like the love I have for myself.

An unchanging unremitting desire to help myself.

This is why God tells us “Love your friend as you love yourself.”

In other words, your love for another based on what you can get is not love; your love for another which causes you to give, that is like you love yourself.
