Long held have I, the belief, that all human reality is psychological.

Erroneously we sometimes say, “Its psychological!”

But if our very existence is our perception/s, then “its psychological” really is.

So once we understand this (and in fact though few know this – they say only a dozen people understood the theory of relativity (please make that a bakers dozen: ) for the theory of relativity states, as Einstein himself so clearly expounded, clarified, when asked to explain it for a lay person, “when you are having an engaging conversation, an hour feels like a minute, and when you are sitting on a hot stove, a minute feels like an hour” – in other words, even the physical world we experience, is as Einstein said, “reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”)

All in all, yes, everything is psychological!

Once we understand this, we can begin dissect the human.

Just as if you dissect a frog, you can see how the physical being, functions, so to, the psyche, which is obviously what we are.

Kabbalah states clearly, three operating systems operate us.

Mind

Heart (feelings, desires (which include fears, neurosis, and their offshoots psychos etc.)

And ego (the desire for supremacy and conversely to not feel shamed.)

Now what is so vital to understand, as every philosophical and religious school of thought asserts, is, that there is a war between the mind and the feelings and certainly the ego (for one is consequential (a=b) the other is passion – all you care about is the passion; so the mind tries to show us consequences, the heart and ego try to ignore the mind; so what happens is very simple, unless a person enters into the humble state (which we will clarify) the ego and feelings, simply change the mind – For example, a drug-addict never acknowledges to himself his addiction (which is why one of the twelve steps is to acknowledge helplessness) His mind is being used – much like the Internet, technology, a computer, which has no mind of its own, though its thinking abilities are awesome, hence, it can be used equally for destructive, selfish or constructive purposes.)

Now here is where it gets interesting, for every philosophy, psychology, religion (besides Judaism, but particularly Jewish mysticism) sees the human effectively as the feelings or ego (as the Chassidic saying Freud dug in the ground and found worms, had he dug deeper he would have found water.)

For in truth, within our mind is God – this is why children, as Neurosurgeons (who research this field) teach, are very compassionate.

Compassion is God (for God cannot be separate from his emotion – there is no duality in God.)

The question then arises, so what happened?

The answer is, that if you take a soup and put in even one vial of poison, you alter the whole soup.

But here is where it gets very interesting! for in Jewish law, there are conditions of what is called bittul nullified; for example, if you have a single drop of milk that falls into a pot of chicken-soup, if there are more than sixty times soup than milk, it is still considered kosher – in other words, if you had a single drop of poison (which BTW we have sprayed, chlorinated, etc. etc.) if tiny doses, it may not be harmful.

So what we find is, that the dosage makes a difference!

Now we have an accurate understanding of the human.

For the incredible stupidity of psychology is labeling (as Frued was a doctor and doctor’s label.)

Far more accurately is F.I.D. Frequency Intensity Duration.

In other words, we all have all components of health and mental imbalance, it is only a question of, F.I.D.

For example, a person is obviously a combination of their thoughts and their feelings, a person lacking either, is not a person; the only question is, how much of what?

But the final frontier, is to understand, that thoughts / feelings
must be harnessed; and generally it follows what the Baal Shem Tov said “Fear no-one or anything except God and love everyone unconditionally (which means don’t judge, as you wish not to be judged”) but when in a state of ego, we completely lose our rationality.

So in the end of the day, the foundation upon which we are sane (versus insane, megalomania, the source of all human stupidity, evil, malicious, jealous etc.) is knowing not how great, but how infinitely small, like King-David said, “I am a worm, not a human!” and like Abraham said, (and these were people who were truly great) “I am dirt and ashes.”
