Live like the Rebbe did

By zevi770 · November 1, 2013

As always, as we had occasion to mention, anthropomorphization, seeing God, even a Rebbe, in human terms is our biggest problem – the reason we do this is simple, say you see someone shouting at another, you immediately assume, that person is angry

Say you saw God “shouting,” and there are quite a few instances that God shouts at the Jewish people through Mosses etc. you immediately assume God is angry, but anger can only come if you have an ego, and God has no ego – so the assumption is patently false.

Rather as Shulchan Aruch (the Code of Jewish Law teaches) you may never be angry, but you may pretend to be angry and shout at your child if you need to prevent him to do something wrong.

In other words, we must get to the crux of the matter, to live like the Rebbe; who of course is God’s role model for us all.

And the crux of the Rebbe, of course, was that though he was perhaps the greatest genius of all times, he was in essence a follower – a humble servant of his Rebbe, going back of course to the Baal Shem Tov, who received the Divine wisdom none other, than from Achiya Hashiloini, a prophet!

And as we have mentioned, it was a new paradigm

A new way of getting rid of our anthropomorphization, and seeing truth in the infinity, not finite (based on anthrpomorphization of God.)

Effectively, it boils down to the fact that we are like in an endless elevator, if you achieved some kind of wisdom, you will be put (hopefully you will go voluntarily instead) right back into the elevator, to take you to the next floor – only for infinity!
