Life’s pulsation

What if the question is not “To Be” – in other words, some kind of ego based attraction – or “Not To Be” – in other words, lack of recognition etc. – for both these states, actually don’t represent health nor balance, rather an unbalanced self-perception.
For as the Previous Rebbe teaches, if you already are, then you have no need “to be”! (it is precisely those who feel they are “not,” that strive “to be”
– this is seen empirically in civilizations that carry shame – Arab – for example; there is a reason they struck the twin-towers while trying to build (as they have and are) their own skyscrapers! for in their inferior sense of self, all statements of (phallic) greatness are to be envied – as I don’t want to embarrass other civilizations, one only needs to observe.)
But the truth of life is rather simple, to paraphrase one of the wisest Rabbis ever, Reb Menachem Mendel of Kotzk, “my identity stems from the fact God chose me, hence your identity neither enhances nor detracts, neither builds, nor destroys!” for the building with infinite foundation (as I am rooted in God, hence I am infinite as well!) needs no “other” to confirm nor deny.
In fact, the entire striving of most empires etc. was based on lack of self-esteem – which is why we find Americans and Jews having intrinsic self-worth (as their fundamental worldview values the individual above the collective) have no need to conquer, and hence can live in truth, which is the continued integration of ever more Divinity!
