Life presents us truly with only three possibilities: the highest is to Listen (to God, by setting aside all personal wishes; as our great sages, Tzaddikim did; and thereby brought the Torah, Judaism, light and love to the world) The second is follow the path of least resistance; s0 in this path you adhere to the biological instinctual desires, the occasional compassionate whims, and certainly you become a slave to whatever current insanity the common culture (you are in) is blowing (this can be as bad as becoming a nazi, as Einstein when asked how the holocaust could occur replied "sometimes people don’t think") Finally, worst case scenario, you can be angry; for all the demons of the satan, the forces of destructiveness, maliciousness (what creates hitler, terrorists, radicals etc.) grab hold and like an addict get man to be inhumane
