there was a famous song in which the singer said “life is a lemon and I want a refund”
this little pithy statement sums up human foolishness
for if life is a lemon than you don’t get a refund
if you are capable of making a request, it means life can’t be a lemon
in other words, the very notion that you exist, and that you have rights is a miracle! for there is nothing in this universe that by any stretch of any probability compels your existence and even more so your rights!
hence in actual fact, life is simply as God said, a choice between doing what is kind or doing what is instinctive; doing what you think will make you happy or doing what will make others happy! and eventually as a meaningless life is meaningless, and we all crave to have a meaningful life, it is our very selfishness that will drive us to selflessness.
