Last night we had a Farbrengen – two people today asked me, what I spoke about – O.K. I’ll tell you — the Rebbe was fond of quoting the Jewish prayer (on Yom Tov festivals) when we ask God that the verse relating to Moshiach, “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him– the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord.” should happen to us.

How does something, as awesome as the spirit of God, entering man, happen to us?!
But that is the entire point of the messianic era – for when man divests his interests (which is what man is, namely desire) from the material physical passions and in searching for the meaning of life, becomes passionate about God, than “as spirit mirrors a spirit” so when the spirit of man turns to God – the spirit of God comes to man.
