Last night at a farbrengen the following example was said which is worth sharing

The Baal Shem Tov teaches (this is the example that helps us understand his teaching):

When God desires to draw us close, so pretend a father wishes to teach his son, the value of money

Here is what the wisest father of all would do

First he gives him, say a million dollars

The son of course, is in heaven, and of course blows that money

Then the father tells the son, now I want you to work and slowly but surely the son learns to generate, appreciate and take pride in the money he earns!
