King David states “My father and mother have abandoned me, but God has protected me” – we fail to appreciate all humans are mercurial – their love is reflection of their self-love (hence a depressed person loses love not only for themselves, but all whom they identify with, their wife, children etc. as their love for them, was an extension of their self-love; and an angry bitter person may find their love turns to resentment, hate, and actually brutalizes those they previously loved, which is the case in the majority of abuse) however God’s love for you, cannot waver, as God has no self-esteem, nor anger issues, and his identification with you, is as to himself!
