Kabbalah teaches how reality works – it is obvious to anyone with a head on their shoulders, that what we see is not reality – science itself has confirmed what Kabbalah has long taught, our entire universe is no more than like a computer game – there is nothing natural about nature – at most, we can call it repetitive miracles, concealing through its routine, the fact, all of it, is truly supernatural (there are countless other miracles and factors, but this will have to suffice for now) in other words, only a complete imbecile lacking any shred of human intelligence still thinks that our universe exists without a supernatural force behind it – in fact, apart from the fact, two thirds of all scientists are believers; in the very well researched book by Jim Clifton “God is alive and well” (Ceo of gallup, based on hundreds of thousands of polls in many countries) 84% of the world believes in a higher spiritual being – but the big question, one that has plagued humanity is, who the heck is he? – and perhaps even more important, what does he want? – and for this, as the Talmud teaches, “you may believe science from gentiles, but never Torah (the path of life”) we need to turn to Kabbalah – firstly he is unlike us, everything we know, see, experience, both externally and internally is limited, God has no limitations; he can just as much be and not be; exist and be concealed; and both merge his existence while simultaneously hiding it; though this is true, we can make a simple reverse deduction, that if the human traits of compassion and loving-kindness are God’s essence (as the Baal Shem Tov teaches, these characteristics found in Jews, are because they are like a son who mirrors his father, and in addition, the Baal Shem Tov teaches, the sincerity of a simple person matches the utter simplistic sincerity of God) hence we can deduce, though God’s existence is unlike ours, in any way, shape or form, his essence is exactly like a good person’s essence, all compassion, and the desire to do loving-kindness, coupled with a utter sincerity – to be more accurate, no ego and true sensitivity to every other living thing! – o.k. that’s who God is, but what does he want? so obviously all people desire to replicate themselves – however, the mechanism through which God did this, is also in the most generous way possible, for he just as easily could have replicated himself without giving us any negative selfish and in fact ego-prone, anger, malicious instincts – the reason he set us, in a tremendous battle between our Divine soul – an actual part of him and our animal soul – like an animal, a selfish instinctual and within humans, ego-based desiring machine, is, if we could not overcome this animal, for our essence; if we would simply be angels, then it would not be us, rather God, who is doing good.
