Jealousy comes from entitlement, for example, as usual our creator know his creations- the Torah is perfect in its psychological understanding – hence God says, be not jealous of your friends wife, house etc. Why not say, be not jealous of the king’s wife, palace etc.? It stands to reason, if what I desire is what is best, why not tell us to not be jealous of the king – however, as I don’t identify (see myself on par) with the king, therefore I feel not entitled
