It’s funny, or actually very sad; I hear people in a country say, “well this how people are” – but the people who they are comparing people to, are messed up! – so we all create an idea of how people are, based on the people we meet – when a country’s basic value system, such as in Africa (where I lived for the past thirteen years) is greed – people who feel discontent and just seek to fill that hole in their soul with materialism (which ironically, is more prevalent amongst the poor, for they have greater delusions about the benefits of stuff, than those who already have stuff) so of course, such people are effectively evil (for their greed for stuff overrides their compassion, which is why we see so much murder for petty items etc.)
