It’s actually so simple, that as George Orwell said, “the hardest thing to see, is what is in front of your nose!”

From time immemorial, barbarism, savagery and in our own current day and age, similarly, terrorism, whose stated aim is Chas Vishalioim the annihilation of the whole world, is in truth motivated by a simple psychological reality: we can either love or fear people, when we love people we treat them as we wish to be treated; but when we fear people (usually out of innate anxiety or abuse etc. as the brain maps, so say, you got bitten by a dog, you will develop a fear for all dogs!) now mix in the fact, we all enjoy pleasure and hate pain, now add the fact, we are all jealous of others; so the summary results, that those whose (societies) subjected them to unwarranted cruelty, become jealous of societies that revere – and hence – love people; and jealousy is the desire to take away from another, that which you believe is unjust for them to have, while you lack it!
